"The canvas I have used for this painting was reclaimed. An old painting that was found in an op shop and painted over, thus giving it a new life... my commitment to tread lightly on the planet. Any imperfections have been left as they are, as part of the artwork's story. 

Being reclaimed, the stretcher frame is ever so slightly skewed and has been intentionally left so. However the painting could be restretched and framed if  preferred. 

...."The value of a piece of art is not necessarily dependent on the cost of materials. I love to find a canvas in an op shop or on the side of the road and give it a new life. This is worth more to me than a brand new canvas; the history of the found object and the connection built into it's new story becomes meaningful in a way that only a reclaimed object like this can."
