On the Edge

An abstracted view of the edge of a mountain, made using acrylic polymer, ink and oil stick on reclaimed denim, mounted onto thick watercolour paper (A3 size) and framed in Australian sustainable timber.

I love to use what I have from my large stash of art supplies, and left over denim from various textile projects is an interesting substrate to paint on. I love the texture it creates and I love the raw edges which seem to add to the wilderness of the scene I am attempting to portray.  Set behind glass onto a peice of watercolour paper, with a pale timber frame creates a stark contrast to the raw denim.
