Windswept Bluffs
Reminiscent of hiking along the Southern Victorian coastline on a wild blustery day, the bright orange lichen on the rocky cliff faces, and the straggly eucalypts and other coastal shrubs, windswept, but hanging on tight, as is their lot.
I love the Southern coast of Australia in the winter, standing on the cliffs watching the wild seas, makes you think you are standing at the edge of the world.
This painting was made with many thin layers of paint, ink, oil pastel and charcoal. Drips and loose marks evoke a sense of freedom and spontaneity.
Framed in a custom floating frame made from Australian Sustainable hardwood.
Dimensions: 59cm (W) x 59cm (H) x 5.5cm (D)
The painting is signed on the front and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. It is also registered with the National Registry of Australian art and artists.
