Fire and Flood

Fire & Flood is part of a series of landscapes I have been working on, reflecting on the climatic events of recent times; drought, fire, flood. The era of anthropocene.

It's so heartening to see new growth in the burnt areas - nature is resilient - but whether humans can do enough to ensure our own ultimate survival remains a question.

The painting has been made using artist quality acrylic paint, charcoal and pigment ink. 

This painting received a "Highly Commended" award in the Kinglake Art Show in 2020.

The painting is signed on the front and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.  It is also registered with the National Registry of Australian art and artists.

Framed in a custom floating frame made from Australian Sustainable hardwood.
